Main Coat Color: Black Eye Color: White .:Personality/History Information:. Basic Personality: Raim can be best described by the phrase "by the book, to the letter". He has been trained to be extremely obedient to whatever rules have been laid out before him, and completely faithful to the ones who rule over him. Others who know Raim have also sometimes called him a "robot", for as long as he is instructed to do something by one of a higher position, he will set about it at the quickest time possible, no questions asked. This has also earned him also the nickname of "doormat", for it doesn't matter what sort of task he is asked to do, whether or not it can help or harm others - as long as the one who has instructed it is officially his superior, he will obey, regardless of his personal thoughts and/or opinions.
Raim is severely loyal to those he serves and cares about, and is equally severely fierce to those who would dare oppose them. Nevertheless, he is also trained to be very respectful (always referring to males as "sire" and females as "dame"), and when in battle has been trained always give the opponent the opportunity of abandoning a fight, although he is more than capable of finishing them off. Outside of pack duties, however, Raim could be considered a very boring wolf to be around - he doesn't much care for what he calls "wasting time" on "meaningless activities" (eg. nature walks, romps in the wood, etc.) - he would much rather spend the day guarding the pack boundaries, even if there is no danger around, than to go frolicking in the sunshine.
Raim and Riesan have been taught to trust in themselves and their abilities despite their blindness, a fact which Raim takes to in stride - he takes every constant opportunity to improve his skills, and further his abilities using his other senses. Although he is strictly linear when it comes to accomplishing his task (usually only doing tasks in whatever way he was taught), he is open to new ideas or methods as long as a superior is teaching it. He is very quick to trust, especially concerning those of higher order, and will only trust another only if they are trusted by his superiors or his sister. However if anyone should fall from the grace of those he trusts and respects, he will not give them favor unless his superiors do so first.
Raim cares very deeply for his sister, Riesan, but normally takes superiors' orders over his sister's advice/opinions. Evil Or Good?: Good Happy or Depressed?: Realistic Confused or Organized?: Organized Considerate or Gready?: Considerate Giving or Taking?: Giving Basic History: Raim and Riesan were born to a litter of five, to the Beta Pair from the Pack of Badr. As all Arabian wolves are born blind, their actual condition was not realized by their parents until they grew a few months older. The pack was a strict one, known to be a powerful force in their lands, and weak wolves were either not accepted or disposed of, due to the alpha's belief that only the strong and fierce deserved to be in his pack. The two wolves' total blindness was realized by their parents when, on a walk in the woods, they noticed the two pups kept stumbling and bumping into rocks and trees. While the father wished to kill the two offspring as they were "worthless" to the pack, the mother took pity on the two pups but could not keep them in the pack for fear of them getting killed. So she hid the two pups in a hollow tree trunk lying by a lake, and abandoned them there.
About two or so weeks after the incident, warrior wolves from the pack of Sommerson stopped by the lake after doing battle with a rival wolf pack. One of the older warriors picked up the scent of the two pups, and found them huddled in the tree trunk, very close to death. Taking pity upon the pups, the older warrior brought them back to the pack and, with the alpha's permission, began to raise them as his own.
The older warrior noted immediately that the pups were blind, but as the pack of Sommerson prided itself on its strong wolves, the pups' disability merely served as a challenge for him. He began to train them in the way that he was trained, regardless of the pups' being sightless. He was a kind father figure to them, but at the same time was a firm coach and strict teacher. He taught the pups how to "see" using their other senses, and reared them in following pack rules, orders, and directives. Despite this rigorous training regimen, the pups were grateful to their teacher, and with this gratitude worked their hardest to fulfill his expectations of them. Eventually the pups became skilled warriors - so skilled, in fact, that the older wolf was pleased to note that they were even better than he was. Both wolves depended on their other senses, so much that they nearly didn't appear blind to others. They were more than capable in hunting, proving their worth to the rest of the pack. And in their fighting, somehow they managed to use their size and speed to their advantage, working in a tandem, like a tag team, so that they could accomplish their tasks easily and quickly.
Ultimately, aside from learning skills on survival and battle, the older wolf taught the pups how to value the fact that they were alive, despite their loss of sight. He renamed the male "Raim" and the female "Riesan", to remind them of the fact that, despite their disability, they were alive and well and were able to survive on their own just as well as any wolf with sight could. Raim and Riesan loved their mentor dearly, so much in fact that their loyalty to the older wolf surpassed that of their loyalty to the alpha.
When Raim and Riesan had become young adults at two years of age, their alpha passed away and was replaced by his eldest son. The heir was unlike his fair and just father, banishing the older wolves in order to make way for the "young and strong". Raim and Riesan stood up for their mentor, who had now grown older and could no longer fend for the pack, much to the anger of the alpha heir. In fact, he had never liked Raim and Riesan in the first place, since they were blind (and was severely jealous of the fact that they were more loyal to the elder warrior, AND that they were the most able warriors in the pack). A schism happened - a warring divide within the pack. While Raim and Rieson managed to fend off their own opponents, many older wolves died, including the wolf who mentored them.
Raim and Rieson banished themselves from the pack, denouncing the alpha's unjust rule over them, and have wandered ever since. .:Quiz to See how Your Character Would Act In The Following Situations:. 1) If your Pack's food supply was low, and you were not an alpha, you would (A) Steal food, you are starving for crying out loud!
